Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with our election campaign to make peace an election issue! We distributed 300 leaflets and put up 200 posters downtown and had many great conversations about the urgent need to cut military spending in order to fund desperately needed social issues.
Now that the election is over we need to pressure MP’s:
- To sharply cut military spending, leave NATO and invest in desperately needed social programs such as health, education, housing and environmental protection.
- To respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and oppose unjust unilateral economic warfare waged against any state.
- To respect the full rights and self-determination of all nations and peoples.
- To respect and work to strengthen international law (UN, ICJ).
